Yes — creating an account, searching for educators, reading reviews and messaging educators are all free. You only pay when you confirm a session booking, at the rate set by the educator.
No. Brilia does not charge learners a platform fee or booking surcharge. The price you see on the educator's profile is the rate you arrange with them.
If a session falls short of what was agreed, let us know within 24 hours. We review every report, and repeated issues affect an educator's standing on the platform. Because you message and confirm with your educator directly before booking, you can also raise concerns with them straight away.
At launch, payment for each session is arranged directly between the educator and learner. We're building integrated in-platform payouts — founding educators will be the first to use them, and we'll share full details before switching them on.
Educators are responsible for their own tax obligations under Singapore law. Brilia provides an annual earnings summary for tax filing purposes. Educators who are GST-registered should account for GST on their session fees independently. Brilia is not a tax adviser — consult IRAS or a tax professional if you are unsure.
Yes. Educators can update their per-session rates at any time from their profile settings. Rate changes apply to new bookings only — confirmed sessions are always honoured at the rate displayed at the time of booking.
